The online platform is regulated by the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Kalshi, overseas sportsbooks, and offshore betting websites that took action on the 2024 presidential outcome had Trump favored in the leadup to Election Day. While pollsters said the race was neck-and-neck, Kalshi bettors gave the former casino owner a nearly 60% likelihood of winning.
