Denmark Introduces New Certification Rules for Game Suppliers (Casino News Daily)

The Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden) has updated its certification program for betting and online casino in response to the introduction of supplier licenses starting from January 1, 2025. The new regulations, which took effect on January 1, 2025, will become mandatory by July 1, 2025, providing a six-month transition period during which both the old and updated certification programs can be used. Certification Responsibilities for Game Suppliers One of the most significant changes in the updated framework is that game suppliers will now be responsible for their own certification. This change removes the previous obligation for gambling operators to compile and submit reports on behalf of their suppliers. As of January 1, 2025, each supplier must submit their certifications directly to the regulatory authority. As a result of this separation of responsibilities, operators are no longer required to consolidate certification reports from their suppliers.
