The Ministry of Finance’s Prizes and Betting Secretariat (SPA) has granted 37 permanent betting licenses, expanding the country’s regulated gambling market. Published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU), these licenses will be valid until December 31, 2029, with each operator required to pay a R$30 million licensing fee. New Operators Join the Regulated Market This development follows the formal launch of Brazil’s regulated sports betting and online gaming market on January 1, 2025. The newly authorized operators include international and local platforms such as Betano, Bet365, VBET, Sportingbet, Stake, Lottoland, Aposta Ganha, and Betsul. With these additions, the total number of fully licensed operators has reached 37.
